Current status
We have completed the design and implementation of the first working 2-controller HBF prototype. This establishes the technical foundation for scaling the architecture into a denser and higher-bandwidth product.
Aspens Creek is seeking funding to advance from a completed 2-controller HBF prototype to a 3D stacked 32-controller architecture targeting 1.6 TB/s. The funding will support architecture scaling, packaging, validation, and the path toward production readiness.

HBF is intended to become a new performance-capacity tier between HBM and conventional SSD products. The architecture targets AI infrastructure and data-intensive workloads that need far more accessible throughput than traditional storage can provide.
